Father's Day

There is always more to to the story... or the photo. Yesterday I was able to share a meal with both of my parents on Father’s Day, and for that I am very thankful. My Father’s Father, a Grandfather I never knew was from a small village in Northern Italy. When I was a 20 year old college student I studied Art in Siena Italy, and had the life changing opportunity to connect with my Italian family. That union was something I could never have imagined. My nephew Christopher is in Italy for the first time and today took the train from Tuscany as I once did, to meet them. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for both his desire to be with them and the open arms that will be there to greet him.
